10:39p December 14 - Art of Passion
The thing that struck me about these artworks is the sense of passion I found in them. You can't always even see the people's faces, but you can feel the tension and passion. I like that.
Enjoy!

6:45p yet more beef(cake)

Okay, this one is funnier and pornier. Clearly, bad pick-up lines are more to my muse's taste than AU scenarios. Color me surprised.
I employ the Jaja icon for obvious reasons.

12:27p birthday and arguably new frontiers
It's my birthday! To celebrate, I...expanded my RPF repertoire to Texans. Okay, so I did that a few days ago and have just been lazy about posting it here, but also, I was kind of hoping to enter the CWRPS fray with something either screamingly funny or unapologetically raunchy (my Id epic for this fandom, because I have at least one for pretty much every fandom I've ever read: thirtysomethingphotographer!Jeff, twentysixyearoldmodel!Jared, his promiscuous and globe-trotting lover, and nineteenyearoldbabymodel!Jensen, who Jared talks Jeff into mutually seducing [not that it takes much persuasion, Jeff's already all secretly yearning], and aren't you sorry you never asked?). Anyway, this little tidbit is neither of those things, but people were amused, and eventually I'll get around to cross-posting.
Still adding words to my Broken Toys story. I need to rewatch me some Dark Angel to pull in details, then get the draft busted out so I have a clear plate in case of needed pinch hitting. Six people have reported in on their Nuna Exchange stories, so that's half the participants. I'm really hoping the other half come through, as I am not so confident in my ability to pull 500 words of DBSK fic out of my brain right now. The fandom is pissing me off big-time, and the boys are under a huge amount of stress, and I just want to whisk them off to a private island for a little secluded R&R. Which actually isn't all that different from my usual attitude toward them, so there you go.
Still watching for a Yuletide pinch hit or two to pick up, but I've been sick and busy at work and haven't even had the wherewithal to wrangle for the past few days, so I need to catch up on that. Right now, this next week looks slightly less full. ::knocks on wood::
I did manage to shave some kilobytes off a few of my animated icons and upload them, though. Still working on the rest, but the only ways I know to cut file size involve methods that make said rest look like ass, so. May have to come up with another option, but at least I have my Yoosu goofiness again, and it might even work better with the one panel shaved off the front. It changes the rhythm and emphasizes the pelvic thrust, which is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

12:05p This and that
I am doing research for a story in a fandom I can’t announce until after the reveal, and have found myself reading actual academic literary criticism for the first time in a long time. Oh, fandom, you do a much better job at meta! I was really struck by how reaching and pompous some of this is, and thought about all the insightful, meaningful meta I read regularly in fandom. I wish I could point you to some examples of the ridiculous lit crit I’ve been reading, but – can’t. I’ll leave you to imagine it.( Read more... )

10:41p fic: It's a Dead Man's Party
Title: It's a Dead Man's Party Fandom: Highlander Length: approx. 6,150 words Characters: Duncan, Methos, Det. Bennett (from Season 1), Joe (just for a moment at the end), OCs Warnings: a little violence, some bad language Rating: this is a gen story, but it does not preclude that slash is going on outside the perspective of Det. Bennett! Notes: thank you to sidhe_woman who beta'd this, and who had to do double-hard duty to fix all my odd uses of the present tense, if any present tense remains (or any other mistakes) that's all my fault This story came about as a reaction to hearing the song (of the same name as the title) on the radio and thinking it just *had* to have something to do with the Highlander universe, and also because I'd always wanted to write a story with Detective Bennett in it. I had to give the poor guy a first name, as he didn't even seem to get one during the series. If he did have a first name, please let me know. And thirdly, and most importantly, because I could not resist throwing in the "I don't know what you are...." line that seemed so popular in Season 1. It cracks me up something fierce; it just *had* to get used in a story.

10:29p December 12 - Lick It!
Today is all about the tongues. I love tongues. They're very versatile...and wet, and slippery, and...well, you get the point. I plan on featuring them again on Dec. 28th. I figure since its my birthday, I can have all the tongue I want, right? And since rimming is one of my favorite things ever, I'm going to feature an NC17 post that's all about the rimming. So if anyone has any rimming pics they'd like to share, hang on to them for a couple more weeks, because the Monday after Christmas is Rimming Day!
Enjoy!

10:47p December 11 - Foot Fetish Friday
I wanted to thank everyone who wished me well yesterday. Yes, I feel better today, but I'm still not 100%, so I'm headed back to bed when these two posts are done. Hopefully, by the end of the weekend I'll be back to what passes for "normal" for me - what ever that is... *g*
I had several people express interest in a Foot Fetish post recently, so since it's Fetish Friday, it seemed like the perfect day to take care of that. This post is more women than men, but that's cool, since the NC17 post coming up next is mostly men - being the Penis Picture Post and all...
Enjoy!

3:57p Instarec: Collarkink meme fill for Peter gets hurt and Neal mother-hens
Here I am with yet another White Collar rec. That kink meme at collarkink on LJ has produced a lot of excellent ficlets, and this is another one. The requestor asked for h/c where Peter gets hurt during a chase and Neal worries and mother-hens. In this Neal goes farther than mother-hen, imo, but it's emotionally honest and beautifully written. Another author I hope claims her story so I can read more of her stuff.

12:03a December 10 - Blue Jean Baby
Running late today, I've been sick in bed all day, and just woke up. So if these get posted after midnight, I hope you'll understand.
I have a thing for blue jeans. Especially really short blue jeans cutoffs (yum), but blue jeans of all sorts work for me. I think they are extremely sexy. So today, to make me feel better, we get blue jeans. Lots and lots of blue jeans. And yep, the Penis Picture Post will feature blue jeans, too.
Enjoy!

3:31p How do you break a spell?
Back in the day I played a lot of RPGs (not the online kind, the kind with actual dice and people sitting looking at each other) and did worldbuilding with things like magic systems. So mara's request for ideas on how to break a spell in a story, was fun for me. What was really fun was seeing everyone else's ideas, and noticing how much overlap we have.

12:46p stuck in a snowbank
Yep, that was me.
So today, the day after the snowstorm, it is sunny and beautiful but cold in the single digits. I ventured out, on my way to a committee meeting. The roads are clear, but with a uniform sheet of packed snow frosting everything. Traffic is light and slow. Daydreaming, I almost missed a left turn, and when I realized, I hit the brakes a little too hard. I fishtailed into some piled up snow left by the snowplow. My all wheel drive, for once, was not sufficient to get me out of what I'd got myself into. And my cell phone was dead. Again. Last winter, when I ran out of gas on the freeway, my phone was also dead. No love. At least this time I had the sense to be wearing long underwear. After that last adventure I promised myself I would never again neglect the cuddleduds, and I have kept that promise. Now if I could just conquer keeping my phone charged.
Anyway, I couldn't push the car out of the snowbank, either. I was in a residential neighborhood. Once again I was saved by the kindness of strangers. A woman stopped and let me use her cell phone to call Mom. I suggested she bring a shovel and her own cell, so I could call AAA if the shovel didn't work. A man stopped, examined my situation and declared that he could dig me out if he had a shovel. He had just come from an estate sale where he had seriously considered buying a snow shovel he saw. He was annoyed he hadn't done it. The woman left, but he waited around, I think for Mom to arrive with a shovel. Then he saw a guy snowblowing his drive a few houses down and asked the man to borrow a shovel. He dug me out before Mom even got there. Of course, she had to drive very slowly, too, and took a long time.
So far as I can tell, there's no harm to the car. I didn't hit anything; I think it was sidewalk under me, eventually. But I owe a new karmic debt to the universe for help being stuck in the snow. I helped someone else who had run out of gas and I figure that evened the old score *g* but now I need to help someone stuck in the snow.
ETA: Well, that didn't take long. I was cleaning the fireplace and took out a bucket of ashes to pour on the driveway, and the mailman's truck had slid off our hill and kind of into the neighbor's drive. He couldn't get from the drive onto the hill. I and two more passersby pushed him straight out onto the street where he could get traction to turn and continue up.

10:23p Subscribe to me on LiveJournal
By the way, thanks to china_shop, the RSS feed from my Dreamwidth account is available at LiveJournal, called dw_dragonfly. You can read me there without making a special trip over here, if you want to. I assume it only shows public posts, so I can't "give you access" on the feed, but, you know, I can still be on your f-list. *g*
